Questions

About the 6L.

Ask us something else
How much filtered water does it hold?

The lower chamber holds 5.6 L of filtered water. For a bigger household, the 8.5L holds 7.8 L.

Should I choose Ultra Sterasyl or Ultra Fluoride?

Choose Ultra Sterasyl if your water is not fluoridated, or you are happy to keep fluoride. Choose Ultra Fluoride if you want to reduce fluoride.

How often do I change the cartridges?

Each gravity cartridge is rated for 1,500 L or 6 months, whichever comes first (manufacturer's instructions). Slower flow is a sign the cartridges are due.

Can I use it with tank or rain water?

Yes. You fill it by hand from any source. See the bacteria and cysts result on the Test data page.

Do I need a plumber or power?

No. A British Berkefeld gravity filter sits on the bench. You fill the top chamber by hand and gravity does the rest.
